Свято було започатковане у 2010 році Всесвітньою федерацією цирку для популяризації видовищного сценічного дійства, збереження традицій, привернення уваги до таланту артистів та відзначається щороку у третю суботу квітня.
Цей день уособлює єдність, натхнення і неповторну силу великої мистецької родини, що репрезентує спільну відданість та безмежну любов до сфери дивовижної творчості.
Сьогодні циркове мистецтво, визнане Європарламентом частиною світової культурної спадщини, по праву займає почесне місце у міжнародному естетичному просторі, а внесок українських циркових митців є яскравим свідченням таланту й духовної щедрості нашого народу.
Висловлюємо щиру подяку іноземному члену НАМ України принцесі Монако Стефанії Марії Єлизаветі (Гримальді) за постійну підтримку міжнародних культурних проєктів, що сприяють зміцненню співпраці між цирковими спільнотами світу та утверджують високе значення цирку як мистецтва радості, гармонії й людського щастя загалом.
Бажаємо вам, шановні колеги, невичерпної енергії, нових творчих звершень та феєричних виступів.

The Presidium of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine congratulates the circus community and all its supporters on their professional holiday – World Circus Day.
The holiday was established in 2010 by the Fédération Mondiale du Cirque to promote spectacular stage performances, preserve traditions, and draw attention to the talent of artists. It is celebrated annually on the third Saturday of April.
This day embodies unity, inspiration, and the unique strength of a great artistic family, reflecting shared dedication and boundless love for the world of wonderful creativity.

Today, circus arts, recognized by the European Parliament as part of the world’s cultural heritage, rightfully hold a place of honour in the international cultural landscape. The contribution of Ukrainian circus artists is a vivid testament to the talent and generosity of spirit of our people.
We express our sincere gratitude to the foreign member of the NAA of Ukraine Princess Stéphanie Marie Elisabeth of Monaco (née Grimaldi), for her constant support of international cultural projects that help strengthen cooperation between the world’s circus communities and affirm the high significance of the circus as an art of joy, harmony, and human happiness.
We wish you, dear colleagues, boundless energy, new creative achievements, and spectacular performances.
